How to create your first video blog post
How to create your first video blog post
Ok.. if you watched the last post on How to start video blogging for business, and took action - it's likely that you have your domain, hosting account, wordpress blog, youtube account, and you're ready to get started.
Now in this video I'm gonna show you how to create your first video blog post using the embedded code YouTube gives you.
The first thing you want to do is UPLOAD you video to Youtube and wait until it processes. When it's ready, simply click on the video and copy the embed code on the page and head over to your blog's admin dashboard.
Then click to create a NEW POST, add a title and a brief description about the video. Now, you might be asking why? Well, the search engines aren't smart enough yet to know what you're video is about because all they read is code, so you have to TELL Google, Yahoo, and Bing what your video is about using text.
This is good for SEO purposes, so that your video blog posts get found by the search engines.
After the description, simple paste the embed code (in the HTML section), add your tags, publish it, and you're DONE!
Congratulations, you've just created your first video blog post, remember to continue adding more posts (at least 2 per week) to increase your readership and traffic.
Google Loves Fresh New Stuff right? It's out job to give it to them...
Hope this post/video helped you out and got you off that fence. Tell me if this was helpful, or ask me any questions and I'll be sure to reply..
If you enjoyed it, please share it, retweet it, comment on it.. thanks

How to start video blogging for business
How to start video blogging for business
Video is where it's at... right? I'm sure we'll all agree. So what would happen if you took the concept of having a central hub (aka. Your Blog) and combined it with the latest, most cutting edge marketing strategy on 2010? (I'm referring to video)
I'd bet the results would be great, and many people have proved it. From Laura Roeder to Gary Vee, video blogging has the ability to make a business success.
But why? Here are my thought on this..
1. Video can go viral
2. Video is easy to watch (it's just like watching TV)
3. Video is a credibility booster
4. Video brings out your personality
5. Video builds your personal brand
6. Video is hot... :)
So, in order to help a couple people get off the fence and start their own video blog to build their brand and grow their business, I decided to create a video series showing you exactly how you can start your own video blog today, and maintain it without much technical skills.
The tools you need:
1. A domain name (preferably YourName.com)
2. A Hosting Account
3. Wordpress.org (the self-hosted one.. not Wordpress.com)
4. A Youtube Account
5. Self Discipline (to create a video post twice a week for a year)
That's it.. that's all you need. Don't dabble too much with the small details, just start creting content that helps others and share it. Make it entertaining but also valuable.
I hope this post, and video helped you out in starting your own video blog.
If you enjoyed it.. please share it, retweet it, comment on it.. thanks

How To Get THe Most Out Of Your Business Content Creation

Business Content Creation & Content Distribution
This is episode 2 of the smarter marketer show and I'm gonna show you a little technique for content distribution. Basically, how to get more out of one piece of content.
Below is the article I reference in the video.
The 6 Step Formula To Getting ANYTHING Done
The subject of setting goals has been spoken about for ages because of one simple reason.. IT WORKS! But has anyone every given you a step by step formula to getting things done, and getting them done quickly?
No? Well, you’re in luck because today I’ll share with you the formula that i’ve used to create my content, my videos, my products, my websites, my marketing campaigns and anything else that involves online marketing. Of course, I can’t take credit for this, I learned this ‘formula’ from Zig Ziglar and I’m happy yo pass it down to you.
Step 1. Set a smart goal
A smart goal is measurable and is part of a bigger goal. For example: Setting up your front end marketing funnel can be broken down into 3 smaller ’smart goals’.
1. Lead capture page setup with autoresponder form
2. Lead magnet creation
3. Thank you page setup with download link
Every one of those goals can have it’s own deadline and you can measure your progress from start to finish.
Step 2. Identiify what the pay-off is when you achieve your goal.
This is almost like a motivation booster. Simply write down what you will gain from accomplishing the goal, and this will help you actually DO IT!
Step 3. List all the obstable in your way.
You don’t want too go after a goal and end up with surprises along the way. Write down everything that might stop you from getting it done, so when the obstacle does come up, you’re ready to take it on.
Step 4. Identify who you NEED to contact to achieve this goal
This is always good to think about if you don’t have all the resources or skills you need available to you, others might be able to lend a hand.
Step 5. Develop a plan of action
Simply list every step you need to take to get this goal done. This will help you keep focus and help you track your progress as you move along.
Step 6. Set a Deadline
Nothing works better than setting a deadline, even though I hate deadlines. But you need to make a commitment to yourself to keep that deadline. Knowing you gotta finish it by a certain date, will make you do it that much faster.
This formula has help me out a lot, and hopefully it will help you to. Let me know if you have your own ‘goal formula’.. you can share it in the comments below for other readers to benefit from..
If you enjoyed that episode.. leave me your feeback below..
Are you using this strategy? If not, are you using something similar to get the most out of your content? Share you ideas and thoughts with the rest of us.
